An instructor at ACAD (this is where I developed my drawing skills, y’all!) was fired on Monday, after a wave of media attention following a student’s transgressive shock-art performance (in my opinion, ‘s been done before and not that new or shocking, but THAT IS WHAT ART SCHOOL IS FOR!!!?!).

RESIST THE URGE TO DRIFT

is a collaborative exhibition with Heather Kai Smith in the upper PITH gallery, accompanying Heather’s new body of work, a collection of beautiful drawings in the main gallery!!!

If you weren’t able to make it to the opening vernissage, join us for our closing reception, Saturday July 16 2011.

PITH gallery is located on 9th avenue SE, in the former Inglewood Bottle Depot. PITH is a satellite artist-run centre, as well as a studio space. Frosst Books is also attached, and it is awesome. It is a bookstore filled with alternative comics and artist books, a huge selection of 33 1/3 and handmade artist books!!!
